My Startup Ideas from this Week
The Anywhere SchoolProblem: families that travel globally for long periods of time have difficulty finding consistent education for their children.Solution: a “classroom” that travels around the world so that families can live in different parts of the world for months at a time.
The Cork CabProblem: beer kegs are ugly and awkward to transportSolution: a company that rents out portable beer truck trailers with built-in taps for parties and events
Ideas I’m Thinking About
The 3 Types of Fun: Type I Fun is enjoyable while it’s happening (e.g. sport climbing, powder skiing, margaritas). Type II Fun is miserable while it’s happening, but fun in retrospect. It usually begins with the best intentions, and then things get carried away. (e.g. riding your bicycle across the country or doing an ultramarathon). Type III Fun is not fun at all. Not even in retrospect. Afterward, you think, ‘What in the hell was I doing? If I ever come up with another idea that stupid, somebody slap some sense into me.’ Many alpine climbs. Failed relationships that lacked type I fun. What’s the take away? It doesn’t have to be “fun” to be fun (Source).
